What’s New in the Dramiński airScan App for iOS
We’re excited to announce the release of the latest version of the Dramiński airScan app for iOS devices. This update introduces a range of enhancements designed to significantly improve usability and expand the functionality of the ultrasound system.
1. Full Control of Imaging Settings via Probe Keyboard and Mobile Screen
You can now manage all imaging parameters directly from the ultrasound scanner’s keyboard or the mobile device screen.
Basic B-Mode controls include:
• Gain, Depth (adjustable using arrow keys)
• Frequency (Freq.), LuciD, Dynamic Range, FPS, Multi Focus, THI, Spatial Compounding.
Advanced settings:
• Gray Map, Left/Right (L/R), Line Density, Freeze Timer
2. Additional Functions Available on the Mobile Device Screen:
• IQ Scan
• Image Button
• Button for prospective cine loop recording
• B+B Mode
• TGC, Full Screen Mode
3. Intuitive Menu Navigation and Preset Management
• Quickly navigate the system menu and adjust scanning parameters by holding down the arrow button.
• Presets can now be launched directly using the airScan pro keyboard.
4. Expanded Doppler Capabilities
• Colour Doppler (CD) and Power Doppler (PD) now available.
• Once Doppler mode is active, a Doppler box appears on screen.
• The box can be moved using the arrow keys.
• Press ESC to switch to resizing mode, then adjust the box size with the arrow keys.
5. Enhanced Measurement Features
• New measurement types: Distance, Fetal Age, and Grid.
• Markers can be moved precisely by holding the arrow keys.
• Up to three measurements can be performed using the probe keyboard.
• During obstetric measurements, results are displayed in both millimeters and days.
• Press ESC to delete the last measurement and edit the previous ones.

6. Image and Video Saving Directly from the Probe
• When the image is frozen:
– Up arrow saves a still image.
– Down arrow saves a video loop.
– Left/right arrows select video loop duration.
7. New App Startup Options
• You can now choose how the app behaves upon startup:
– Launch with the default bovine reproductive preset
– Launch with the last used preset
– Launch with the last used settings
Note: To ensure the “Last user settings” feature works correctly, the exam must be properly ended using the “End Exam” button or by holding the “FREEZE” button and turning off the probe. Simply closing the app or minimizing it without ending the exam may prevent the settings from being saved.
